Hello from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, Canada! I am Angie Haggstrom, author of Life And Travel In The Canadian Prairies. I was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, and after moving around Alberta and Manitoba, I decided that Saskatchewan is the best place in the world to call ‘home.’ I now reside in this seemingly quiet little town with my husband and kidlets.
I started Life And Travel In The Canadian Prairies to share my passion of the prairies with all those interested in learning about living and traveling in Western Canada. This area is filled with thousands of hidden treasures and quirks that cannot be experienced anywhere else on earth.
I began writing completely by accident. I was bored, I missed learning and writing about things, and just felt like ranting. As soon as I discovered that people would pay me to do this, I started writing articles and providing online content for several sites and businesses on the web and in print.
Not long after that, I bit the bullet and gave up my 9-5 job to join the world of copywriting and market advertising full time. Now, I am the senior copywriter, online writting coach, and content consultant of Angie’s Copywriting. I’m also a contributing author for SEO-Scoop, exploring the world of blogging and enjoying the opportunity to feed my information obsession with an unending supply of branding, business, marketing, SEO, and SM.
When I am not writing, I am spending time with my son outdoors, performing, listening to music, or watching movies. I also enjoy scrapbooking, painting, decorating, creating custom furniture, and anything else that lets me get creative and have a little fun.
Whether you are moving to Western Canada, traveling through, or just looking to explore the Canadian Prairies from the comfort of home, enjoy the blog and happy travels!

Hey there,
Thank you for favouriting my blog on Technorati. Your blog is quite intriguing, so I’ve done similar.
Keep posted!
Thank you so much!
Hello Angie. Found your blog via WordPress Dashboard today.
Maple Creek, eh? There’s an old retired Mountie who lives (or used to live) around there who served with my dad in southern SK way back in the late ’50’s. If you know, say hi.
I haven’t read much of your blog (yet), but I see you’re a writer. I’m married to a writer and aspiring published author who is an itinerant blogger as well. I’m going to point her to your site (thewritingpad).
Nice to meet you.
Hello again Angie,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Broderick is indeed the guy! Small world, eh?
My wife does have her own blog. In fact, it’s thanks to her that I started blogging (although I’m not all that sure I’ll continue…)
You can find her at anniegirl1138 if you’re interested.
Take care!
